What the boat brought in
El Patrón
The El Patrón is a 50-foot limited-load boat running daily full-day trips to Catalina Island and Santa Barbara Island out of Long Beach Sportfishing, with offshore tuna runs through summer and fall. Owned by Rick Carbajal and Chris Isaac and captained by Capt. Phil "Phire" Ornelas, she is limited to 21 anglers and carries 11 bunks (first-come, first-served) with air-conditioned accommodations and a livewell holding up to 50 scoops of bait. Freshly refit in 2023 with a new galley, new sonar and a refrigerated seawater hold, the El Patrón is hard-fishing and run right.
